MANSFIELD, TX: Week 5 Predictions | UHoopaz Seek Revenge

The Fundamentalists' Trey Shipman drives past his opponent

Are this week's games as predictable as many think? As always, we have some great matchups, with 2 teams looking to exact revenge. Will they fulfill their mission? Let's take a look.

We Get Buckets vs Lunch Ballers
It will be a different ball game when these 2 teams meet again tomorrow night. Though We Get Buckets is struggling with offense, some of the players are starting to step up to lighten the load on their captain, point guard and scoring leader Chauncey Lusk who is averaging nearly 28 a game. The chemistry between the team also seems to be stronger, as they've had time to feel and figure each other out in these past few weeks. 3 players were 1 or 2 short of scoring double figures in points last week, and role player Sean Erhardt put up a solid 13 points in the win. This is a definitely a step in the right direction for these guys.

7:30PM-Lunch Ballers are continuing to struggle with consistency and chemistry, with players missing in action each week. To make matters worse, one of their top scorers Lovell Bradford is no longer playing, and they struggle to have both of their big men present at the same time. Their problems were evident in last week's blowout against UHoopaz in which they lost by 40. No one is really leading the team, and roles seem to be unassigned and non-emphasized. Will someone take on the role? With all of this going on, I see a different outcome of this game.

Prediction: We Get Buckets win by 8

8:30PM- UHoopaz vs The Fundamentalists
UHoopaz allow a lot of points from their opponents (3rd out of 4th in the league) but make up for it by putting up phenomenal numbers on the board, scoring 114 in last week's win. I know many don't like to hear that offense wins games, but in this case it seems to justify. Every player on the roster is capable of an all-star night, whereas in many cases the spotlight is shared among 2 or 3 during the night. It almost makes you wonder if they are even trying on the defensive end. Guard Paul Smith has been on a roll, racking up 23 points a game and grabbing a solid 7 rebounds. That's like adding fuel to the already blazing-hot fire. Their numbers might indicate a lack of defense among the other teams, but may also indicate the sheer talent of this team.

The Fundamentalists are a good team, their veteran senses and skills makes up for what they may lack in speed and endurance. Their go to guy Sam Bailey is having yet another standout season, averaging a double-double thus far. Thought this team has stregth, and size, I'm not sure if they can keep up with the UHoopaz offensively. Simply put, the UHoopaz just score too many darn points! If they want to see a different outcome in this game, The Fundamentalists will have to really tighten up their defensive game.

Prediction: UHoopaz win by 20
