ATLANTA, GA: Week 4 Preview | Stop Crying!
Justin "Mr. 8 on 5" Boone pleading his case.
Free Agents vs. Known Shooters 7pm
This Free Agent team needs to play a full 44 minutes of basketball. In last week contest they played a solid first half but lack the intensity in the second half. I look for a solid performance out of Spencer “Main Event” Huffman. He is consistent throughout the season but will need some help out of Tierris Holland. In order for the Free Agent team to win this game they will need to slow the game down and play zone against Known Shooters. This will be a tough challenge for them as they lack star power as a unit.
Known Shooters had a tough lost last week and seemed to be more worried about the officiating rather than their play on the court. I am shocked that this team is lacking the intensity that they have had over the past few seasons. Thomas “ The General” Lemon had a monster game last week but I am going to challenge him to get 10 assist this week. In order for Known Shooters to get back to championship form, it will start with Lemon controlling the point guard position and getting his teammates involved.
Prediction: Known Shooters by 30
Team Zane vs. Gawd Squad 8pm
This is the rematch of last weeks game and it looks like Marcus “Enough Said” Brown had a field day against Gawd Squad. This is a statement game for Gawd Squad as they are currently 1-2 this season. I challenge Gawd Squad to play a full 44mins of defense and not let Team Zane score more than 65 points in the game and it will all start with Prince Kearney. If Gawd Squad can manage Marcus Brown to under 20 points then this will be a convincing win. In the last match up Gawd Squad was out rebounded and lacked the physical intensity. I expect that to be different this week.
Team Zane is my sleeper team of the league. This team on paper looks to be mediocre but with the solid play of Brown and Langdon, this team is to be reckoned with. Look for Team Zane to dominate on the boards and get second chance points as well as expose key match-ups.
Prediction: Gawd Squad by 3
Team BG vs. Team Follies 9pm
These two teams matched up in week 2 of the season and Team Follies was victorious but by only 5 points. Team Follies creates nightmare match-ups against any team this season and they look to already be championship ready. With the solid play of Little and Rhodes, I expect this team to continue to prevail. It seems that Team Follies is light years ahead of the league, but if there is one team that could stop them, it would be Team BG. I expect a major game out of Bryan “Check My Stats” Gates who has been playing subpar this season. Team BG needs a big production out of him in order to keep there winning ways. If Gates gets back to form this team will be hard to beat.
Prediction: Team Follies by 1
