WESTCHESTER, NY: Holiday Edition | "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like [Play-offs]"

‘Tis the season to be jolly. Well, that isn't the case for Free Agents & DieNasty. Their holiday season is going to be less enjoyable because they don’t have Westchester-UHoops playoffs in their lives. As for our four other merry teams, they’ll be continuing on to... (Insert your best high-pitched Jim Mora voice here) PLAYOFFS! Playoffs?!

Similar to the holiday season, our playoffs have a mix of many different cultures. Unlike previous years there is no clear-cut Santa Clause in the pack. Steve Serwatka, the man at the helm of Massa Coastal's sled comes into the playoffs banged up and big man Adam Kraus could be out for the playoffs with a calf injury. The rest of their elves have a ton of experience under their tiny little belts, but that’ll only get you so far against Westchester’s own grinch Tim Munch of The Bombers. The Bombers sleigh, on the other hand, has all the bells and whistles, speed, power, size and accuracy. We shall see if they have what it takes to withstand all the snow and turbulence that the playoffs have to offer.

From an outsider's perspective Pippen Ain't Easy and McBuckets may seem like the bags of coal in the bunch. Well, not so fast. McBuckets comes into the playoffs after unwrapping a 60-52 victory against FA in the final week of the season. Massa vs. McBuckets has been the championship game the past two seasons with Massa Coastal victorious both times. Every sport has it. Every Holiday has it. Rivarlies. Red Soxs/Yankees, Christmas vs. Chanukkah, Corin or Mooney. There are tons of playoff mileage on both of these team's tires. I like McBuckets. Mooney likes Massa. We'll see who has more basketball knowledge! Pippen Ain't Easy is the team that doesn’t know what presents to buy anyone. Sometimes, you hit a home run, and often you strike out. All I know is that they're on The Bombers naughty list and surely won't be receiving any presents from them!
