SHELBY REC: Playoff Predictions | Can Y-Lie make an upset ? | Will Vaughn Gray Continue To Dominate In The Post Season?
Alfonzo Eggleston and Robert Turner
Monstars (3rd) Vs Y-Lie (5th)
Despite their regular season hiccups, they still have the strength to be a threat in the playoffs. Y-LIE with their leading scorer Johnnie Brown will play against Monstars who have risen to a 5-3 record after missing the playoffs last season. Tyrone Jordan and Jeff Manoski will need solid games, if they want to defeat Monstars. For the young squad, it’s a big game for them as well. Monstars, biggest strengths is Brandon Andonoff who has been having a great season. He has been averaging 21 points a game. Juwan Watson also has been a force down low, grabbing almost 11 rebounds a game, and averaging 2 blocks a game as well.
Prediction:
Monstars have depth, and are a very talented team, the playoffs are here, and they have a lot of energy. Y-Lie has had an up and down season, I don’t see the hunger, I believe they will fall short.
Monstars – 74
Y-Lie – 71

Skillz (3rd) Vs Unknown (6th)
Not very strong offensively, not that they don’t have players that can score, but it’s been tough shooting the ball last few weeks for Unknown. Alfonzo Eggleston will need a huge game, and the rest of the group to have solid performances. They go up against the hot Skillz team. With a player that has been on fire of late, Vaughn Gray. Vaughn Gray has been averaging almost 32 points a game and 7 assists a game. They are going to be a hard team to beat if Gray keeps playing the way he is.
Prediction:
Skillz will be too much to handle for Unknown who have a shorthanded roster. They will hang with Skillz for the 1st half, but fatigue will kill them in the second, and Skillz will run away with this one.
Skillz- 81
Unknown- 67
