Mark Berishaj makes his debut with Magnolia’s Finest (2deep) with twenty-five points as the defending champs still remain undefeated as their win streak reaches ten straight against Performance Issues. John Sinishtaj last season’s MVP didn’t slow down as he hit thirty-two points in the season opener. Peformance Issues didn’t play with a full roster and kept it close throughout with Mckinsey Gofin and Jason Sawinski combining for sixty-six points, but couldn't get past the hump for Magnolia’s Finest.
Michigan Ballers return to Ultimate Hoops facing off with House of Skills. House of Skills acquiring Brian Olley and Andrew Rizzi, makes House of Skillz a contender in a competitive season at Shelby Lifetime. Chris Hines with twenty-six points led Michigan Ballers in a close tight fight with House of Skillz. Brian Olley and Vaughn Gray combined for forty-points to edge out Michigan Ballers sixty-four to fifty-eight.
Another close game, The Infantry got by Tune Squad sixty-nine to sixty–six. John Anderson returns from Star Chiropractic teaming up with Jason Farr, and DeAndre Cottrell. Anderson scored twenty-three points going seven for eleven from the field. Spencer Plizga made his Ultimate Hoops debut scoring twenty-seven points, six assists and five rebounds. Infantry spoiled his debut in this one, but Tune Squad has a very good team, and can be dangerous opponent this season.
YLie upgraded their roster adding Brent Witchner and Drew Maynard and it prove worthy as they rout Eleven 23 in the season opener. Drew Maynard had twenty-eight points with an 81% field goal percentage from the field. Drew Maynard could not be stopped. He had one of the biggest dunk we've seen in a while at Shelby. The dunk pretty much explained the whole game, as it was a dominating victory for Ylie. Team Chemistry was the problem in Eleven 23’s loss. Tyree Franklin only missed one shot, scoring twenty-points in the sixty-eight to fifty loss to Ylie. A team with a lot of talent, shouldn't get too hard on themselves after this loss to one of the top teams in the league. Identity is the challenge this team faces moving forward.
