MONTVALE, NJ: Out of the Blue, Here Come…the Ballerz!
Akeem "The Dream" Lurks in the Background
While a loss is still a loss, a one-point heartbreaker to RUNt should make the rest of the league take notice that the Ferrall Ballerz might suddenly be in this thing.
Why is that? Well, in a mid-season acquisition, Akeem Atanda has been picked up by the Ballerz. All he did against RUNt was account for nearly half his team’s scoring as his new squad fell by a single point on Wednesday. Had there been an extra second on the clock, Damon Cameron’s three would have counted and RUNt would have had its first regular season loss in a few seasons.
Before the Ballerz one-point defeat, Ferrall talked to his new teammate about coming to save the day. Take a look.
In addition to the Ballerz, let’s not forget about the Bad Boyz as a true contender. They continued to dominate in a rout of Dream Team. Shout out to Dan Gashi for dropping 20 – in the first half – in his team’s 20-point win. And oh yeah, despite a close call, the McNuggets are also right in this thing at 3-1. It’s about to get very interesting at the top of the standings. Could this postseason turn out to be the best we’ve seen yet at Montvale UHoops?
On a final sad note, it's time we say rest in peace to the six-feet-Underdogs. A dreadful loss to the Black Ops is about as low as it gets. The Ops didn’t surprise anyone with another point total in the 30s. Rather, it was the embarrassing 32 put up by the Underdogs that sent them to 0-4.
So for those of you still alive (and that's almost everyone), good luck in the second half of the season!
