MANSFIELD, TX: Week 3 Power Rankings - We Get Buckets Struggles to Recoup
Another crazy week in Mansfield
Week 3 Power Rankings
1. UHoopaz (1-1)
Even with losing 3 of their teammates for this season, UHoopaz is still an All-Star team. With the addition of Paul Smith, brother of UHoopaz star Tristan Smith, it's as if they never lost any of their players. This team racks up when it comes to numbers. They put up 111 points against We Get Buckets this week, and shot 66% from the field and 59% from long range. This makes up for their sometimes lackluster defense.
2. The Fundamentalists (2-1)
This veteran team that was predicted by many last season to quickly move up in the ranks has done just that. They may not have as many all-stars, but they know how to play as a team. They move the ball exceptionally well and have the communication skills of experts. In other words, great chemistry. Sam Bailey looks as fresh as last season, averaging a double-double, which has helped propel his team to the best record going into the 4th week.
3. Lunch Ballers (1-2)
These guys are a fun team to watch, but problems with consistency and chemistry make them fall short. On the other end, they have a strong addition in guard Deitrich Williams who can really handle the ball and shoot from downtown. I believe that their record would be quite different if they worked out a few kinks, and assigned player roles because they seem to lack a team leader.
4. We Get Buckets (1-2)
A Surprise or No Surprise? We Get Buckets(formerly known as Redeem Team) is basically a new team struggling to find themselves as a unit. Once a powerhouse squad, they have struggled since last season to even keep a team roster. They lost most of their players due to college, like top scorer Cam Barnes, a very tough spot to fill. Team captain Chauncey Lusk thinks they will be just fine, saying that the team just needs to adjust to the changes, and play some ball.
