ROSEVILLE, CA: Week 7 Power Rankings | Week 8 Predictions
Week seven ended in exciting fashion and it looks like anything is possible for week eight. We originally planned to begin the playoffs this week but had to change our plans due to scheduling issues. Instead we will have tie-breakers and match-up all the evenly matched teams. Below are the power rankings and predictions:
RANKED: 1 Syracuse 7-0
Syracuse goes into week eight undefeated, with a 7-0 record. Look for them to win again tonight.
PREDICTION: Syracuse over Michigan by 6
RANKED: 2 Michigan 5-2
Prescott Johnson, Clarence Lee, Ben Douglas, Brian Valli, John Poucher Mackenzie Harder, Steven Thompson, and Raquel Nate have had a solid season, but I am not sure they can squeeze by Syracuse.
PREDICTION: Syracuse over Michigan by 6
RANKED: 3 Duke 4-3
McCory Ledesky, Mark Randle, Billy Blankeship and the boys look to get cranking behind John Pichon. They should get by Gonzaga if Lavin doesn’t show up and keep him out of the paint.
PREDICTION: Duke will win against Gonzaga by 3
RANKED: 4 Arizona 3-4
Deon Robinson and Aaron Nichols are capable of lighting up the scoreboard. If they both show up ready to play they should give Darrius Wright and the boys a hard time.
PREDICTION: Arizona wins against Oregon 3.
RANKED: 5 Gonzaga 4-3
Erik Thomas and Lavin Peets both need to show up and be ready to play if they want to beat Duke.
PREDICTION: Duke will win against Gonzaga by 3
RANKED: 6 Oregon 3-4
Darius Wright and Max Comerford will need to play a great game together. Otherwise Arizona will win.
PREDICTION: Arizona wins against Oregon by 3.
RANKED: 7 North Carolina 1-6
Chris Collins and Austin Brewer will have to work together but I think they can beat Pepperdine.
PREDICTION: North Carolina by 3 over Pepperdine
RANKED: 8 Pepperdine 1-6
Pepperdine needs to figure out their chemistry this week heading into the playoffs. They have the talent. Now is the time to play-up to their potential.
PREDICTION: North Carolina by 3 over Pepperdine
Don’t like your ranking? Think my prediction is wrong? Do something about it on the court on Monday.
