ALPHARETTA, GA: Week 2 Preview | Enough Said vs. Follies: The Rivalry Continues
Ant Brown will have his hands full with Darcy Schultz tonight.
Tonight it's week 2 in Alpharetta and one of the biggest rivalries in Ultimate Hoops is on again. Team Follies and Enough Said have been facing off for years and have gone back and forth in the regular season. But Enough Said has continued to get the better of Team Follies in the postseason. When these two teams face off you always get a playoff like atmosphere.
Enough Said vs. Team Follies 5PM
In Week 1 the defending champs, Enough Said, got off to a great start by defeating the Sugarloaf champs in a heated matchup by 18 points. We will see if that momentum can carry over against their rival Team Follies in Week 2.
This game should be highly competitive since these two teams have went at it since Ultimate Hoops started in Atlanta. Team Follies needs to find a way to slow down Marcus Brown. He is coming off a very impressive game which he scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. David Graham will have a big task in front of him defensively. Look for David Sherwood to step up big this week in his new role with Follies.
Prediction: Follies by 2.
The Late Starters vs. Spartans 6PM
The Late Starters look to get their season off to a good start against the Spartans. Look for Thomas Lemon to control the pace in this game and find combo guard Derrick Orr in transition, where he is at his best. The Spartans will need guard Julien Wilson to knock some perimeter shots to keep The Late Starters honest on defense.
Prediction: The Late Starters by 6.
Mumford Returns vs. Free Agents 7PM
There has been a huge shake up with the Free Agent squad as Ryan Mumford has created his own team. One big surprise is Brian Richardson not jumping ship on the Free Agents. There is a rumor that some of his old Max Contract counterparts will be joining the Free Agent squad this week. With the addition of Jay Gooden, this completely changes the outlook for the Free Agents. If Richardson and Gooden can get these new guys playing like Max Contracts, they can make a splash this season.
Prediction: Free Agents by 9.
