SCOTTSDALE, AZ: All Star Preview | Scottsdale's Finest
Will Darrin Dorsey play in the All Star Game?
We will be hosting a Tempe-Scottsdale All Star game at the end of the season. The top 10 players from each team will be selected to represent their club. Find out here if you made the final cut…
We will select 1 player from each team in Scottsdale to represent the club. Yes we understand there are some teams with multiple all stars but we felt this is the fairest way to do it so every team can have a representative. Unless you wanted to see a game with half the Splash Brothers on the roster this is the way we will do it. We chose players based on body of work and overall stats. So if you showed up for 2 games this season you probably did not make the cut. If you feel you been snubbed please leave us a comment and let us know!
SCOTTSDALE SUMMER ALL STARS
Splash Brothers – Nick Tomsick
Nick is an easy choice for the team as he is a legit contender for MVP this season. He’s the league-leading scorer at 44.3 points per game, which is a full 9 points ahead of the next leading scorer.
Runner Up – Richard Azevedo
Pink Canoes – Seth Robinson
Seth is one of Scottsdale’s most complete players averaging 32 and 10 to go a long with 2 blocks per game. His ability to stretch the floor and score from the perimeter reminds me of Dirk Nowitzki.
Runner Up – Lance Williams
Phx Ballas – Tyrone Jones
Tyrone is one of the toughest and strongest players inside the paint. He’s averaging 28 and 9 for the season and has made the Ballas legit contenders this season. There is nobody better on the block than Tyrone.
Runner Up – Aaron Bennet
X-Over – Fred Dudley
Fred is one of the most dynamic scorers in the league with his ability to fill it up from inside and outside. He leads his team in points, assist, and rebounds and is no doubt the pick for X-Over.
Runner Up – Randy Bronner
Cobra Kai – Shane Zink
Best Center in Scottsdale? It’s hard to argue when he’s putting up 21 and 14 for the season while shooting a ridiculous 78% from the field. Imagine what kind of numbers he have if he had a legit point guard to get him the ball.
Runner Up – Jordan Teed
Pillsbury BBoys – Klayton Kristick
He is Scottsdale’s top 3-point shooter averaging 6 makes per game. It’s a shame Bizouka mania had to end. The Kristick-Bizoukas tandem was a pleasure to watch this season.
Runner Up – Brandon Birden
TimeLifers – Kyle Rivas
Kyle is having a solid all around season averaging 17pts 6rb and 5ast per game. The Timelifers had a lot of guys deserving to be on the team and was one of hardest selections to make.
Runner Up – Patrick Denicola
Supersonics – Darrin Dorsey
Darrin is by far the most explosive player in Scottsdale. It’s a shame he might not be able to finish the season, as the Supersonics would be legit contenders with him in the lineup.
Runner Up – Kyle Hansen
Team to Beat – Brad Carroll
Yes surfboards numbers are a lot better in Tempe but this All Star game wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t have Brad in the game.
Runner Up – Brandon Davis
Amateur Hour – Carmelo Amore
Last but not least Carmelo will be representing Amateur Hour in the big game. Carmelo is having a solid season averaging 15 points per game and could be one of the leagues top free agent pickups this offseason if he can prove he belongs.
Runner Up- Zach Shea
All runner ups will be called if starter cannot make the
game. League Coordinator Borin Ngov will coach the Scottsdale All Stars.
