DALLAS, TX: Power Rankings Knocks SMU Up
EJ Leading the team in a fight against Massive Jammers.
This week Massive Jammers were able to defeat UTEP 2-Step in a strenuous and competitive game. UTEP with only 5 players, missing both Stan Cavin and Laslo Reed (two of their top contributors), had a rough start down 13 points, 27-40, at the half. Second half they came alive and were able to bring the game within 4 points, but you know what they say, "live by the 3, die by the 3". Unfortunately they died by the three in Week 7 making only 11 out of 36, but more importantly they were unable to penetrate the lane only bring in only 20 points from FG range. They did put on a good show at the free-throw line shooting 85% and bringing in 17 points. EJ Nevarez went an amazing 8-8 and led the team's PPR at 26.3.
The game of the night ended Massive Jammers by 10 points, 80-70, bumping SMU to the #2 spot.
